BM Garcia lauds Ubay sportscom
The organizers of the Ubay Open Basketball Tournament held as part of the activities in the celebration of the Annual Town Fiesta here received a pat on their back from provincial board member Gerarda Cutamora Garcia who was so impressed of the successful staging.
Engr. Garcia, who himself is a sports lover, said that despite the limited time for the preparation yet the Ubay Sports Commission managed to assemble at least four (4) teams whose respective players are scattered somewhere in the Visayas Region. The jampacked crowd witnessing in every game indicated a well-coordination among the sports commission which is headed by Feliciano "Loy" Bernales, Garcia added.
Meanwhile, the sportsfest with a whooping Php100,000 championship prize was ably supported by Cong. Erico B. Aumentado, BM Gerry Garcia, Mayor Eutiquio Bernales, Vice Mayor Constantino Reyes, all members of the SB.
The games were supervised by the USC and also coordinated by the BAP-Ubay chapter led by Ralph Lagura.
