One of the provinces of the Philippines is Bohol, famous for its glorifying Chocolate Hills situated in Carmen, Bohol. Bohol is composed of 48 competing towns with good leaders that help contribute to the progress of its towns. One of the towns of Bohol is Ubay--- a town composed of varying traditions which are scattered in every barangay which composed it.

Ubay was the term given by a Spanish person looking for a town.

Long time ago, at the year 1880's this town (Ubay at present) was being part of our very own Talibon, Bohol. Time pass by, it was being separated from Talibon, for its being independent town. Before and after the separation, this town (Ubay) encountered many problems such as it was being invaded by an immigrant person that came from different places. Just like the Americans, Japanese and Spaniards.

It was been five years of our stay in Manila when my parents decided to go back to the place where they started and grew, developed and learned as a person, individuals, and as parents. It was at first hard on my part to leave my school, my classmates, and my friends but I had no choice. They made their decision final. They even got the tickets ahead of time.

My mind was full of questions and curiosity on how that place look like after five years. I kept on asking if what kind of place would welcome us when we arrive; if why my parents loved that place so much that we have to leave Manila and proceed to a place that me and my brothers are not even used to."Something must be special to that place'" a thought that I bear in mind through our journey across the sea.
